Video: Neeraj Chopra scripts history yet again, becomes first Indian to win Diamond League

Scripting history yet again, Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Neeraj Chopra has become the first Indian to clinch the Lausanne Diamond League with a best throw of 89.08m, his third career-best effort.

The final is scheduled to be held in Zurich on September 7-8.

Chopra finished top of the pile at Lausanne with a massive throw in his very first attempt. He skipped his third and fifth attempts and threw 80.04 in his final attempt.

The Indian javelin thrower is making a comeback from a groin injury after having pulled out of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

In July this year, the 24-year-old broke the national record to finish second at the Stockholm Diamond League in Sweden.
