Video: Cobra caught from fridge at house in Karnataka’s Tumakuru

A family at a village in Karnataka’s Tumakuru district found to its horror that a huge Cobra had made its way into their refrigerator.

Forest officials rushed to the house with a snake-catcher after they were informed.

The video shows the snake-catcher using a special rod to get hold of the reptile and deftly pulling it out from the back of the fridge where it had coiled around the compressor. He then puts the cobra in a jar to remove it and later release it in an appropriate place in the wild.

According to forest officials, snakes look for warm areas to cuddle up on winter nights and the cobra had coiled around the refrigerator’s compressor as it is a warm place.
