A station master saved a woman from being crushed under a train in the nick of time at Hoshangabad railway station in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday.
CCTV footage shared by the Railway authorities on Monday shows that instead of using the overbridge the careless woman chooses to cross the tracks to go from one platform to another. While a train is fast approaching, the woman is still stuck on the tracks as she cannot climb on to the platform despite her best efforts.
The station master, Deshraj Meena, sees the danger and immediately runs across the tracks, putting his own life at risk, to reach the woman in the nick of time and lift her on to the platform. He managed to get the woman to safety a mere 4 seconds before the train sped past the spot.
The railway authorities have been warning people not to cross the railway tracks to get from one platform to another as it is dangerous, some people still appear to be breaking the rules putting their lives at risk.
