It is indeed heart-warming for a father to see his children follow his footsteps. One such case is that of a Indo-Tibetan Border Police officer, APS Nimbadia, whose daughter has made him proud by joining the police force and the image of her saluting him has caught the attention of netizens and gone viral.

ITBP has shared this image of daughter Apeksha Nimbadia saluting APS Nimbadia, with him returning it. The message with the picture on Twitter reads: “Proud father getting salute from the proud daughter.” APS is a Deputy Inspector General in the ITBP and Apeksha graduated from Dr. BR Ambedkar Police Academy in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad and the photograph was taken after her passing out parade.

Apeksha is expected to join the Uttar Pradesh police as a Deputy Superintendent of Police.

Those who know the Nimbadia family don’t find Apeksha joining the police as unusual since serving the police force runs in the family. She is a “third-generation officer in uniform”.

Besides this picture, ITBP also shared two more images of Apeksha. One with her with mother Bimlesh Nimbadia, who also attended the ceremony and father while the third shows father-daughter standing next to each other.

One of the five Central Armed Police Forces in the country, the ITBP was raised in 1962 in wake of the China-India war.
