Tamil superstar Rajnikanth’s daughter’s jewellery stolen from Chennai home

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya has filed a complaint with the Chennai police that her diamond and gold jewellery has been stolen from her residence.

In her police complaint filed on February 27, Aishwarya alleged that “multiple pieces of valuable jewellery of mine which had been in my locker was stolen.” She first realised that the jewellery was missing on February 10.

The 41-year-old filmmaker has informed the police that she suspected three of her domestic staff, a driver and two maids, to be involved in the theft.

She said that she had kept the jewellery in her locker, the key to which was kept in a steel cupboard at her St Mary’s Road apartment and the staff were aware of the fact.

“Recently, when I opened the locker on February 10, I was shocked to find that out of my valuable jewels, only a few valuable jewels were found. Till today, I have been searching for them in the house but could not be found. Kindly note all the valuable jewels were accumulated during the last 18 years, since my marriage,” the complaint stated.

She said that the gold ornaments were worth Rs 3.6 lakh, but the value of the diamond jewellery would be much more.

Aishwarya, who is a film director and producer, is currently directing the movie, ‘Lal Salam’ with Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant in the lead roles and her father Rajinikanth playing a cameo role in the movie
