India team cricketer Suryakumar Yadav’s prolific 360 degrees hits to the boundary in the T20 World Cup have also brought a 3-fold jump in his earnings from ads as his popularity soars.
The 32-year-old cricketer is currently charging an average per day cost for an endorsement at around Rs 65-70 lakh, which has grown 3x since last year when he charged around Rs 20 lakh, according to Nikhil Bardia, Head of Sponsorship Sales and Talent, RISE Worldwide, that manages Yadav’s portfolio.
The cricketer who currently advertises for 10 brands is also in the process of signing 10 new brands by the end of the year in the beverages, mobile accessories, media, sports apparel, casual apparel, education abroad services categories. Three of these are multinational corporations.
