Rajasthan woman health worker rides camel to vaccinate people in remote areas

<p>
<strong>In the fight against Covid-19 pandemic, health workers are leaving no stone unturned in getting people vaccinated against this dreaded disease. From crossing flooded rivers to walking several miles, they have done much more to reach people and now a female worker is riding a camel to connect with far-flung villages in the Barmer district of Rajasthan.</strong></p>

The pictures of this worker who rides the animal to administer the Coronavirus vaccine as part of the Government’s campaign “Har Ghar Dastak”, were shared by the Union Health Minister, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on his Twitter.</p>

One image shows the worker astride the camel holding the medical box carrying the necessary objects for vaccination while the other picture shows her actually administering the dose.</p>

The Minister of Development of North Eastern Region of India, G. Kishan Reddy, also shared these pictures, hailing the work done by this worker. He wrote: “From far flung villages to mountainous terrains to deserts – the #LargestVaccineDrive of India continues its fight to defeat COVID-19. Salutation & gratitudes to the frontline workers for making this happen. #HarGharDastak.”</p>
<p>
There have been outstanding examples of health workers from all over the country who climbed hills and mountains and crossed forests to vaccinate, even if the number was very few.</p>
