Kunia residents, among them Suman and Shyama on October 24 had labour pains. Their village situated on the banks of Ramganga river which comes under Mirzapur police station area has, due to recent rains been surrounded by flood waters. With no help expected to reach them from outside, their fellow villager Ram Naresh offered to take them. Despite having lost an arm in an accident, Naresh was courageous enough to drive them down as the women travelled lying on a cot placed in the tractor trolley.
