Newborn baby found alive with umbilical cord linked to dead mother in Syria earthquake rubble

In an incredible incident, rescuers found a newborn baby in the rubble of a home in earthquake-hit Syria, with her umbilical cord still attached to her dead mother.

Video of the rescue went viral on social media.

A video of the incident shows a man running from the rubble of a building clutching a little baby covered in dust.

A second man runs towards him with a blanket to protect the child in the bitter cold.
