The nine-day mega book fair, being organised by National Book Trust - an autonomous organisation of the government under the Ministry of Education - in collaboration with India Trade Promotion Organisation

<strong>With the Covid-19 pandemic again surging in the country, the New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF) has been postponed with the recent restrictions imposed by Delhi Disaster Management Agency coming into force.</strong></p>
<p>
This 30th edition of the Book Fair was to held from January 8 to 16 at New Delhi&rsquo;s Pragati Maidan. The new dates for the event will be announced shortly.</p>
<p>
In a statement issued by the National Book Trust, the organiser of NDWBF said: &quot;In view of the latest DDMA guidelines and the requests made by various stakeholders, the NDWBF 2022 has been postponed. The fresh dates will be announced separately.&rdquo;</p>
<p>
Last year the event was held online.</p>
<p>
This well attended Fair was first organised in 1972 and this year the NDWBF was planning to celebrate its golden jubilee with a photo exhibition.</p>
<p>
This year&rsquo;s theme for the Fair was &ldquo;Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav&rdquo;, commemorating 75 years of Indian independence.</p>
<p>
A number of literary and cultural programmes, including a special children&rsquo;s corner, Yuva corner, seminars, discussions, workshops, were to be organised with France as the guest country.</p>
