Kannada actor Dignath was airlifted from Goa to Bengaluru on Tuesday after he suffered a spinal injury while doing a backflip as part of his exercise routine. The actor was reported to be have been on a holiday with his family in Goa.</p>

He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Goa after the injury. However, since the injury turned out to be serious, he was flown to Bengaluru and is undergoing treatment at the Manipal Hospital.</p>

&ldquo;Mr Diganth arrived at Manipal Hospital, Old airport road, Bangalore at 4:30pm. He is admitted under Dr Vidyadhara S, HOD &amp; Consultant Spine Surgeon and is being evaluated for his present status. He had sustained a sports injury in Goa two days back and was being treated at Manipal Hospital, Goa prior to this. His investigations are being carried out and the results are awaited,&quot; Manipal Hospital said in a statement.</p>

&ldquo;Yesterday, in Goa, he was doing some sports activity. He was on the trampoline and suddenly he fell on his back. It&rsquo;s a bit serious (injury) as there is a dislocation of the cervical vertebra. His fingers started numbing and since they didn&rsquo;t have the proper equipment they thought they will shift him to Bangalore,&quot; E-Times cited Diganth&rsquo;s father-in-law told E-Times.</p>

Diganth made his film debut in 2006 and has starred in more than 35 movies. He shot to fame with box office hits such as Pancharangi and Galipata.</p>
