Indian women’s blind cricket defeated Australia in the finals to win the gold medal at the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games 2023.
India bowlers came up with a fine spell to restrict Australia at 114/8 with a fine spell in the allotted 20 overs and then chased down the revised target of 42 in less than four overs of the rain-curtailed match played at Birmingham in England.
The Indian women came up with an extraordinary performance at the World Games as they won all their league games in the tournament. Blind cricket in IBSA World Games made its debut last week with England and Australia playing the first match.
