Indian Railways to introduce female hostesses in top trains

Blowing winds of change in its hospitality, the Indian Railways will soon introduce train hostesses in the premium trains run by it. These include Vande Bharat, Gatimaan and Tejas Express. The long-distance trains like Rajdhani Express and Duronto Express will not have this service.

Talking to the media, a senior Railway official said the objective of introducing hostesses in the trains is to provide passengers with better facilities. The female hostesses will greet the passengers while boarding the train, serve food and listen to their complaints.

The dress of all the attendants will be the same and only women who are trained in the field of hospitality service will be recruited as female hostess.
