Hyderabad’s recreational forest park for children and adults opened today

<p>
A vast open land in Hyderabad which has been developed as a park is going to be thrown open for the public today. The Pranavayu Urban Forest Park has come up on the land lying unused for years at Gajularamaram in Kukatpally.</p>
<p>
The park has recreational facilities for citizens of all age groups and offers something for everyone.</p>

The park developed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) besides providing a vast expanse of green area and theme-based art work, will also make available amenities like walking and cycling tracks, facility for yoga and other exercises, children’s play area, two open classrooms, picnic area and a gazebo.</p>
<p>
While the entrance has a decorated arch, the compound walls are painted with replicas of animals and water cascades making it a visual treat for the visitors.</p>

<p>
The children’s play area has all types of slides, wooden bridges, worm-shaped tunnels and a swing and a fence with alphabet shaped structures.</p>
<p>
There are facilities for having picnic parties while there is a exclusive place to enjoy Vana Bhojanam (forest meal) too.</p>
<p>
GHMC officials informed the media that the park has been developed at an estimated cost Rs 11.37 crore and has five-km pathways and cycling tracks.</p>
