Home Minister Amit Shah to inaugurate New Light and Sound Show at Red Fort today

The popular Light and Sound Show at Red Fort in its new avatar is all set to spellbound audiences from today. The show titled “Jai Hind” will be inaugurated by Amit Shah, Union Home Minister.

The one-hour show is being described as a one-of-its-kind cultural and visual treat that will showcase India’s heritage and history to the GenZ with the help of interactive techniques.

The newly conceptualised and scripted show will present India’s history from the 17th Century to the present day. It will be broadly divided into three parts and the key episodes in the show will include the rise of Marathas, the 1857 War of Independence, the rise of the Indian National Army and the INA trials at Red Fort, the fight for Independence and India’s continuing progress over the past 75 years.

All forms of performance art like projection mapping, live action films, light and immersive sound, actors, dancers and puppets will be used in the three-part show that will be presented at different monuments inside Red Fort starting with Naubatkhana to Deewan–e- Aam to Deewan-e-Khas.

This show has been eagerly awaited for, as it commences after a gap of five years.
