First Bharat Gaurav train reaches Janakpur in Nepal

<strong>The inaugural Bharat Gaurav train which connects the destinations associated with Ramayana circuit in India and Nepal arrived in Nepal’s Janakpur on Thursday. The 500 passengers onboard were given a grand and warm welcome at Janakpur.</strong></p>

Among the dignitaries who greeted the passengers were Chief Minister of Madhes, Lalbabu Raut, Minister for Industry, Forest and Tourism Satrudhan Mahato, General Manager of Nepal Railway Company Niranjan Kumar Jha, and Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan Mayor Manoj Kumar Sah among others.</p>
<p>
Speaking on the occasion, Raut expressed confidence that such religious visits will deepen the India-Nepal ties and also contribute to development of tourism in Janakpur.</p>

The tourists on board the train visited the Janaki temple for darshan, witnessed a cultural programme in the premises of Janaki Temple and participated in Ganga Aarti.</p>

The 14-coach AC train was flagged off from Delhi’s Safdarjung railway station on Tuesday. It will cover the religious destination of Janakpur (Nepal) besides other destinations such as Ayodhya, Nandigram, Sitamarhui, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Panchvati (Nasik), Hampi, Rameshwaram and Bhadrachalam.</p>
