Famous IAS couple Tina Dabi and Athar Khan divorce

Tina Dabi and Athar Aamir Khan, the two IAS toppers who had hit news headlines with their interfaith marriage in 2018 have been granted a divorce by a family court in Jaipur.</p>
<p>
Tina Dabi, an alumna of Delhi's prestigious Lady Shri Ram College, had shot to fame when she became the first Dalit to top the coveted civil services exam.</p>
<p>
She met Athar Khan, who is from Anantnag in Kashmir, during their training and the romance culminated in marriage in April 2018. Their wedding reception in Delhi was attended by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and some Union Ministers.</p>

<p>
The couple had filed for divorce with mutual consent at the family court in November, according to local media reports.</p>
<p>
Tina Dabi and Athar Khan are IAS officers of the Rajasthan cadre and were both posted in Jaipur. Athar Khan, who had come second in the IAS exam,  is now on deputation with the Jammu and Kashmir government and is posted in Srinagar.</p>
<p>
The interfaith wedding had triggered backlash on social media at a time when "love jihad" was a raging issue.</p>
<p>
Tina Dabi had dismissed the social uproar and said that her marriage was above religious divides.</p>
