The e-auction for gifts and mementos received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has got off to a solid start.</p>
<p>
Among the many gifts up for bidding are &quot;sports gear and equipment&quot; presented to the Prime Minister by India&rsquo;s Tokyo Olympic champions Tokyo Olympians and Paralympians.</p>
<p>
The bidding for the e-auction started on Friday and will continue till October 7.</p>
<p>
The second day of the auction saw some high bids coming in. Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra&#39;s javelin and bronze medal-winner Lovlina Borgohain&#39;s boxing gloves have both received bids of Rs 10 crore each.</p>
<p>
Some of the other memorabilia like PV Sindhu&#39;s badminton racquet and bag, a hockey stick signed by the Indian women&#39;s team, who had finished a fighting fourth in Tokyo.</p>
<p>
The current highest bid for Sindhu&#39;s badminton racquet stands at over Rs 2 crore, while the bid for the hockey stick has gone past the Rs 1 crore mark.</p>
<p>
Paralympian Sumit Antil who won the gold medal in Tokyo with a world record throw, had also gifted his javelin to PM Modi which has received a bid of Rs 3 crore.</p>
<p>
The reserve price for Neeraj Chopra&#39;s javelin was Rs 1 crore while that for Lovlina&#39;s gloves was Rs 80 lakh.</p>
<p>
&quot;Proceeds from the e-Auction shall go to the Namami Gange Mission aimed at conserving and rejuvenating the Ganga,&quot; an official press statement said.</p>

Neeraj Chopra scripted history at the Tokyo Olympics by becoming the first Indian ever to win a gold in athletics. Lovlina Borgohain had bagged a bronze medal in women&#39;s welterweight (69 kg) boxing competition.</p>
