Video footage of the incident shows Kohli first walking up to Bairstow signalling him to stand in his crease. Bairstow retaliates and tells Kohli to go back to his fielding position. After that an angry Kohli is seen gesturing with his hand and asking Bairstow to keep quiet.
The commentators in the box also pointed out that there is “tension” between the two out there. They showed footage of the previous day’s bonhomie between the former India skipper and England wicketkeeper-batter Bairstow as both play in the IPL series. However, things appear to be different today, one of the commentator’s remarked.
In the ongoing Edgbaston Test between India has the clear advantage at this point after scoring 416 runs in the first innings and then the taking five wickets with England's score reading 84 for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of Day 2.
