Caught On Camera: Lucky boat passengers escape angry hippo’s ominous charge

Considered to be very aggressive and blessed with sharp teeth, hippopotamus is known for attacking and charging boats and even capsizing small ones, and at times injuring or killing passengers. One such video has been posted on Twitter by Hidden Tips with passengers narrowly escaping the angry creature.

Video:

In the footage one can see the tourists watching the hippo, when it suddenly makes a move and chases the boat. The vessel gathers speed and moves fast to avoid any untoward incident.

The caption of the Tweet reads: “Although accurate numbers are hard to come by, lore has it that hippos kill more people each year than lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos combined. “Don’t get close!”

These amphibious creatures are widespread in sub-Saharan Africa.
