The name of this 16-year-old youngster is Deshant Adhikari and he has a 70 cm plaited tail growing from his back. Located from his coccyx which is at the bottom of the vertebral column, this tail was spotted by parents after his birth. Following this, they took him to several hospitals and even got information about it and its treatment from overseas.

A local priest however, interpreted it differently and told his parents that he is the reincarnation of Lord Hanuman.

Earlier, Adhikar used to be embarrassed about his tail but not now. In an interview he said: “Now I don’t feel any discomfort showing it. A video of me went viral on Tik Tok and now a lot of people know me as the boy with a tail, and I feel good about it."

He added: "People call me Hanuman (God of Monkeys).”
