Bollywood celebrities thank PM and hail the decision of repealing farm laws

<p>
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement today morning to repeal the three farm laws has been welcomed by celebrities cutting across the industry, including those who were in the forefront of criticising these legislations. Right from Taapsee Pannu to Sonu Sood, all congratulated the PM and praised his statesmanship.</p>
<p>
Pannu who had voiced her views against the laws hailed the decision by sharing the news from a TV channel took the opportunity to wish everyone on Guru Nanak Jayanti.</p>

Actor Sonu Sood who has been in the news for helping Covid-19 affected people across the country described PM’s announcement as wonderful news and hailed it.</p>

The actor wrote: "This is a wonderful news! Thank you, @narendramodi ji, @PMOIndia , for taking back the farm laws. Thank you, farmers, for raising just demands through peaceful protests. Hope you will happily return to be with your families on the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji today (sic).”</p>

Gul Panag winner of Miss India title in 1999, who had contested the 2014 general elections as Aam Aadmi Party who had openly showed her solidarity with farmers with folded hands expressed her gratitude to the PM for his decision.</p>

As is her wont, Kangana Ranaut, the winner of the Best Actress Award for 2021 for her performance in “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi” who also received the fourth highest civilian award Padma Shri recently, was very frank about her views. She shared another person’s tweet about the repeal and expressed her unhappiness. She wrote: "Sad, shameful, absolutely unfair. If people on the streets have started to make laws and not the chosen government in the Parliament, then even this is a jihadi nation. Congratulations to all who wanted it like this."</p>
