Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa dominate Grammy 2021 nominations

With the Grammys 2021 – the biggest night of the music industry just a few hours away – all eyes are focused on Beyonce.</p>
<p>
Postponed several times because of Covid-19 pandemic, the Recording Academy announced in January that the 63rd annual Grammys will be held on March 14 (March 15 IST). The awards ceremony to be held virtually this year due to Covid-19 pandemic, the show will look different. This year instead of one specific stage, the artists are going to perform on multiple platforms.</p>
<p>
The show which will be largely held in and around the Los Angeles Convention Centre will be hosted by the comedian Trevor Noah. It will be held from 8 p.m. ET it will start streaming tomorrow at 5.30 a.m. in India, exclusively o  SonyLIV. It will also be streamed live on Grammy's Facebook account as well as on the official website of Grammys.</p>

<strong>Women power</strong></p>

The 2021 Grammy Awards is all about women power with Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa leading the way.</p>

Beyonce with nine nominations is leading contender, followed by Taylor Swift, Roddy Ricch and Dua Lipa, who earned six nominations each. Interestingly, Beyonce will be competing against herself in the Record of the Year category as she has been nominated for for "Black Parade" as well as "Savage". She will fight out with fights Black Pumas, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Post Malone for the trophy.</p>
<p>
The six nominations for Swift include five for her "Folklore" album or its "Cardigan" single and one for her collaboration with Andrew Lloyd Webber on an original song for the film version of "Cats".</p>
<p>
Swift will compete in the Album of the Year category against Dua Lipa, Post Malone, Coldplay, Jhen Aiko, Jacob Collier, HAIM and Black Pumas.</p>
<p>
Dua Lipa got nominations in the categories of Record of the Year and Song of the Year for "Don't Start Now" and Album of the Year for "Future Nostalgia". Dua Lipa and Beyonce are joined in the Song of the Year category by fellow six-time nominees Roddy Ricch and Taylor Swift.</p>

<p>
Among the males, Ricch has the most Grammy nominations. He is up for Song of the Year for "The Box" and Record of the Year for "Rockstar" with DaBaby.</p>
<p>
Alabama Shakes’ fame, Brittany Howard has five nominations for her solo debut. Four nominations each came the way of Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Phoebe Bridgers, Justin Bieber, jazz pianist John Beasley and classical producer David Frost.</p>
