The braveheart Indian Army assault dog Zoom, was seriously injured with two bullet shots, during an operation launched by the security forces against terrorists in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. Yet, he managed to bring them down.
The forces had launched a cordon and search operation in the Tangpawa area of the district late on Sunday night. On Monday morning, Zoom was sent inside the house to clear it up as it was suspected that the terrorists were holed up there. Zoom, bravely located and attacked the militants but unfortunately received two bullet wounds, injuring him critically.

The Army sources reported that even though the canine was injured he kept attacking the terrorists and helped the forces neutralise them. He was immediately rushed to Srinagar’s Army Vet Hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
An Army official informed PTI that Zoom has been part of many active operations in south Kashmir. “Zoom is a highly trained, ferocious, and committed canine. Has been trained to locate and bring down terrorists,” the official added.
The Chinar Corps posted a picture of the dog informing about the operation and his injury and wished him speedy recovery. A video of this courageous canine was also released by them in honour of his contribution to the operation.
While many soldiers were injured, two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in the encounter.
