Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan got injured during an action sequence while shooting for his upcoming film ‘Project K’ in Hyderabad.
The actor said in his blog that he has flown back to Mumbai and is currently on bed rest at home.
Amitabh said in his post: “And it needs to be told .. not be held ..In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured .. rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage .. cancelled shoot .. did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home .. strapping has been done and rest has been advocated .. yes painful .. on movement and breathing .. will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur .. some medication is on also for pain.
“I rest at Jalsa and am mobile a bit for all the essential activities .. but yes in rest and generally lying around ..” he added.
“It’s painful while breathing and making movement,” the superstar admitted while adding that he is taking medicines for pain relief. So, work has been postponed for the moment,” he added.
He also said that it would be difficult to see fans outside Jalsa and advised them to not visit his bungalow. He normally greets hundreds of his fans and waves to them when they show up outside his residence Jalsa on Sunday.
The incident is reminiscent of the more serious injury that Bachchan had sustained in July 1982 while shooting for the blockbuster movie ‘Coolie’. He had to be hospitalised due to internal bleeding in his lower abdomen.
The much-awaited film Project K, stars Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. The multi-lingual film also includes Disha Patani in a key role.
