24/7 Restaurant on Wheels starts at Bhopal railway station

<p>
<strong>The Indian Railways continues to make not just train journeys but also the entire experience of travelling an interesting experience. Continuing in this sphere, a Restaurant on Wheels was started at Bhopal railway station.</strong></p>
<p>
Built in an old coach, it will serve diverse high-quality vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine for both rail users and general public, from all over the country, including misal pav, vada pav, idli, dosa, Rajasthani thali, ice cream among others.</p>
<p>
The best part of this restaurant is that it will remain open throughout the day, seven days a week.</p>

The restaurant has been started on platform number 6 of Bhopal and has been named ‘Aahar’. The interior has been specially designed to enable people to enjoy the experience of a train journey and it has a seating capacity for 42 people.</p>
<p>
The first of such restaurants was started by the Railways at Asansol railway station in West Bengal on February 26, 2020. With these eating outlets getting popular, other stations too have followed. In Maharashtra itself, there is a target to start 11 such coach restaurants.</p>
