14-year-old prodigious Vijayawada girl inscribes gist of Ramayana on 1,916 rice grains

<p>
<strong>The devotion of this 14-year-old girl Karumuri Moulya Padmavati Srivalli to Lord Rama is remarkable! She has inscribed the gist of Ramayana’s seven kandams along with Sri Rama on 1,916 rice grains in 22 languages!</strong></p>
<p>
The miniature artwork of this girl from Vijayawada has been recognised by the Worldwide Book of Records and Triumph World Records.</p>
<p>
She was just 10 years old when one day at the Machilipatnam beach she decided to take up miniature art after she saw sand artists at work. Going beyond making up her mind, Srivalli practiced with total commitment and then decided to inscribe “Sri Rama” on the grains to be donated to the Bhadrachalam Temple on Sri Rama Navami. Later, she decided to develop the idea further and decided to engrave the gist of seven kandams of Ramayana, along with “Sri Rama” in multiple languages on food grains numbering hundreds.</p>

She used a gel pen and took 15 days to complete the project.</p>

Crediting her parents, Srinivas and Suvarna Lakshmi in motivating and encouraging her, she told New Indian Express: “I summarised the entire Ramayana in short sentences and wrote 20 letters on each grain of masuri rice. The grains with ‘Sri Rama’ inscribed on them in 22 languages were dedicated at Lord Rama’s feet.”</p>

She has also produced an art work on the schemes of the Narendra Modi Government and is keen to the Prime Minister.</p>
