Don’t go by her age as she may be just a 13-year-old girl but has brought laurels for India and Telangana as she recently scaled Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Based in Hyderabad, for Muriki Pulakita Hasvi this is not the end of the road, as told the media that she was all set to conquer all the seven summits across the world.

For Hasvi, it took three months of preparation to scale Mt. Kilimanjaro, after competition of her base camp.

Elaborating about her climb she told ANI: “It was an adventurous experience. Mount Kilimanjaro is such a mountain where you experience all the weather conditions.”

Climbing Africa’s top mountain was no easy task and more so for this small girl and besides being physically fit she needed to be mentally prepared. For this Hasvi revealed she used to do yoga, meditation and other activities to help her keep mind and body agile.

It is both ironic and interesting that it was through a film that Hasvi came to know about mountaineering and that is what triggered her to develop a taste for this adventurous hobby.

Having set an example herself for others, especially the youngsters to emulate, Hasvi shared her thoughts with others and appealed to the teenagers and young adults to overcome the mountain like obstacles of their lives, and not blatantly follow others.

She said: “My message to all young generations is not to ask them to choose mountaineering but to basically tell them to conquer their mountain in their lives.”

Making clear her intentions of not resting on her present achievement Hasvi said she has made all the plans to complete climbing all the seven summits before 2024.
