<p>
<strong>A 10-day bonanza celebrating India&rsquo;s cultural and culinary diversity — &ldquo;Red Fort Festival &ndash; Bharat Bhagya Vidhata&rdquo; — starts at the iconic 17th Century Red Fort from today. It will be inaugurated by the Union Minister of Women and Child Development Smriti Zubin Irani.</strong></p>
<p>
Part of Government&rsquo;s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating 75 years of India&rsquo;s Independence, the Festival is a collaboration between the Culture Ministry and the Dalmia Bharat Group which has adopted the Red Fort as its Monument Mitra.</p>
<p>
Among the notable highlights of the Festival are &ldquo;Yatra &ndash; A 360 degree immersive experience&rdquo;, a cultural parade, Khao Galli, live performances by popular singers like Shaan, Yuvraj Hans, Raghu Dixit, Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, Dr. L. Subramaniam, etc, dances of India, Anokhe Vastra, Khel Manch and Yoga on the Go. Songs and dance performances curated specially to pay homage to the country&rsquo;s history of unity in diversity will be part of this festival.</p>
<p>
The fest will also showcase India&rsquo;s history through projection on the Red Fort exterior walls; highlight the country&rsquo;s achievements through the years in an exhibition; and include a host of cultural programmes featuring the nation&rsquo;s vibrant arts and craftsmanship.</p>
<p>
For food-lovers and others, this event will present India&rsquo;s vast culinary variety and its regional cuisines.</p>

Talking about the festival, Puneet Dalmia, MD of Dalmia Bharat Ltd said: &ldquo;The inaugural Red Fort Festival &ndash; Bharat Bhagya Vidhata will highlight our culture and traditions as has never been seen before. We hope this will enable visitors, and especially our youth, to build connections between our nation&rsquo;s current progress and our ancient glory, by understanding values that are India-centric as well as globally relevant.&rdquo;</p>
<p>
This event which is being planned as an annual event will come to a close on April 3 and will remain open between 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
