Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai was overwhelmed with emotion and broke down at a screening of the movie "777 Charlie" on Monday.

Mr Bommai said the film reminded him of his pet dog Snooby, which died in July last year, just a few weeks before he became Chief Minister.

A video clip shows the Chief Minister repeatedly wiping his tears as he talks to the media about the movie which has been released in five languages.
"There have been movies about dogs but this movie shows animals with emotions. The dog expresses its emotions through its eyes. The movie is good, and everyone should watch it. I keep talking about unconditional love. A dog's love is unconditional love, which is pure.This cinema has brought forward purity of unconditional love through Shetty and the dog “ the chief minister told journalists.
Earlier, a few months after Snooby's death, Mr Bommai had also broken down during an interview when visuals of the funeral were shown.
The Karnataka police have also recently named their new sniffer dog Charlie after the movie.
