A massive fire broke out in Delhi's historic Chandni Chowk early in the morning today destroying several shops in the market opposite Red Fort.
The fire in Lajpat Rai market started at around 4.45 am and a dozen fire engines were rushed to the spot to tackle the blaze.
Photos from the spot show huge flames gutting the shops as fire fighters and local residents fight the blaze.
The exact reason for the fire is still not known.
