She is India's first woman Air Marshal Dr Padma Bandopadhyay who received the Padma Shri award in the field of medicine today. She continues to serve the people as a civilian now. Dr. Bandopadhyay joined the Indian Air Force in 1968 becoming the second woman in the Indian armed forces to be promoted to a three-star rank. Watch to know more
