Taliban Calls China ‘Friend’ Of Afghanistan As Beijing Islamabad Nexus Exposed Post US Troop Exit

In an interview to South China Morning Post (SCMP), Taliban spokesperson Suhail Shaheen termed China as a 'friend' of Afghanistan and sought greater investments for development projects. This comes in the backdrop of Taliban terrorists killing security check posts in Herat at the site of the Salma Dam which is a marker of Afghanistan-India friendship. In this latest development security experts are weighing Beijing's role in the power vacuum left behind with the US' exit.
