Japan is rushing 300 oxygen concentrators and 300 ventilators to help India fight the sudden surge COVID-19 infections which has overwhelmed the healthcare system.
“Japan stands with India, our friend and partner, in her efforts to fight against COVID-19 pandemic through this additional emergency assistance. Japan will continue to extend further support promptly in order to contain the COVID-19 situation,” a statement issued by Japan’s ministry of external affairs said.
Japan is prepared to provide 300 respirators and 300 oxygen concentrators to India once talks are finalized, Japan's chief cabinet secretary Katsunobu Kato said on Friday.
