Ukraine is set to take aerospace company Motor Sich back into state ownership as per a top security official Oleksiy Danilov, Ukraine’s Security and Defence Council. Motor Sich was privatised two decades ago. China, since then has tried to acquire the Motor Sich. However, in January, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy signed a decree in January imposing sanctions on Chinese firms like Skyrizon which along with other Chinese firms has about 75% stakes in Motor Sich. The move came after Washington opposed the deal to keep critical defense technology out of Beijing’s hands. Watch to see how this will impact the world order.
