The potentially disastrous incident took place when Messi was being escorted by a police vehicle after he arrived to join the Inter Miami team for his debut in Major League Soccer (MLS). Onlookers appear shell-shocked at what could have turned out to be catastrophic for the football superstar.
After leaving Paris Saint-Germain, following the expiry of his contract, Messi was widely expected to join his arch rival Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia. However, the World Cup winner sprang a surprise by signing up with Inter Miami instead.
