With a view to restoring their relations in all fields, India and Nepal held secretary-level meetings to discuss cooperation in the power sectors. The meeting also discussed access to the hydro and solar sectors.
Sharing information on the virtual meeting, the Indian embassy in Kathmandu tweeted: "The 8th meeting of India-Nepal Joint Working Group on Power Sector Cooperation at the level of Joint Secretaries has commenced through video conference."
In another tweet, the embassy said: "Key agenda issues to be taken up include grid interconnectedness, market access for Nepali surplus power and Indian investment in Nepali hydro and solar sectors."
The two nations are holding a number of meetings with a view to restoring ties damaged due to a boundary disagreement. Senior Indian officials have visited Nepal in the last two months to tide over the crisis.
In their virtual meeting, the two nations also discussed issues related to the electricity trade, distribution and transmission lines..
